Academic Philosophy & Integrity
Our transfer department is where we evaluate and anticipate your transfer opportunities within our Credit Transferring Policy. Whether you've previously attended a university, community or Bible college, etc., all transferring credits will be reviewed, on an individual basis, with credit award determination to follow. More
Our criteria to meet transferring credit awards is a combination of standard religious academia credits and those awarded at the community college level.
About Our Philosophy & Integrity
Foremost, our bible institute & seminary is based upon the great commission as stated by Jesus, “go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:16-20 is embedded in all aspects of this institution.
Our academic philosophy and integrity is built upon the foundational elements of Jesus’ teachings combined with the standards of religious academia curriculum and credits to prepare the student for work within a diverse and/or specialized ministerial setting.
We are an established long distance Bible Institute & Seminary, that allows students to obtain their degree level education either before, on schedule or beyond the standard two to four year completion paradigm. The high standard of instruction, guidance and administration is reflected by our dedicated faculty and staff. Out tuition is intentionally lower when compared to similar Bible Institutes, Colleges & Seminaries due to striving not to leave the learner with a student loan debt.
Mission Statement
Though the educational mission of DLSM is singular our application is broad; teach, prepare and fulfill the great commission by becoming educated representatives of God. As our graduated students go into all venues of life continuing the momentum of assisting others through Biblical understanding principles and application.
Statement of Educational Effectiveness
In order to provide information about the effectiveness of our educational programs and graduation rates we do an annual assessment directly related to our academic programs. This information is not used as a comparative to any other bible institute, college or seminary. It is solely for the purpose to improve academia, various course formats and instruction that leads to graduation.
Academics
Development and presentational formats are a key component to the graduation success. We do a quarterly review of all academic programs to search for areas of improvement and revision.
Exams
Our print based exams offers numerous formats to achieve exam completion. On a bi annual basis we review all formats assessing availability, ease of use, effectiveness and areas of student questions or difficulty. Once areas of improvement are identified, strategic changes are implemented.
Instruction
A foundational element of the students graduation success is the instructor. Biblical theologians and pastors who are accomplished in learning course delivery are assigned students. On an annual basis a review of teaching techniques, communication skills, student accomplishments and rate of study advancement is assessed for effectiveness with areas of improvement implemented.
